On this episode of Be More Super, Bryan sits down with actor Daemian Greaves, one of the stars of the brilliant British independent feature SURRENDER TO IT — a movie that I personally cannot recommend highly enough!
Daemian joins me to talk about his journey as an actor, his experiences with The Actors Workshop Nottingham, stepping in front of the camera for Surrender to It, developing his character and what it was really like bringing this ambitious independent movie to life.
🎥 ABOUT SURRENDER TO IT
Written and directed by Tim Bryn Smith, Surrender to It follows a grieving father who reunites with a group of his old actor friends for a mysterious weekend away in the British countryside… and things definitely don't go according to plan.
What follows is a wonderfully unpredictable mixture of mystery, drama, comedy, romance, emotion and adventure.
And this is a film I am a HUGE fan of.
Surrender to It has so much heart. It's funny, moving, thought-provoking and wonderfully unpredictable, with characters you genuinely become invested in. It's exactly the kind of independent British filmmaking that deserves to find a massive audience.
Even more impressively, the movie was created through The Actors Workshop Nottingham, with every role performed by members of the Workshop. What began as an opportunity to give actors genuine professional on-set experience ultimately became a full feature film reaching audiences around the world.
